# Billing

> Plans, usage and payments, on an online Lekalao offer.

<Info>
  On a self-hosted installation, billing is usually switched off: **Settings
  → Billing** says "Billing is off on this installation" and every limit is
  open.
</Info>

**Settings → Billing**. Only **owners** may choose a plan and pay.

## Usage

Two gauges:

* **Subscribers**: the active subscribers of every list, against the plan's limit;
* **E-mails sent this month**: campaigns, automations and transactional together.

The end of the current period is shown. A gauge turns red past 90 %.

### When a limit is reached

| Limit                | What happens                                                                                                                                                                 |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Subscribers | **New** addresses are refused (form, API, import, adding by hand). The subscribers already there can still be updated, unsubscribed, subscribed again. |
| E-mails of the month | A campaign that would go past what is left does not go ("This campaign needs N e-mails and only M are left this month"); a transactional e-mail past it is logged as failed. |

## Plans

Each plan shows its monthly price, its limits and what it holds. **Choose this plan** opens the payment; your current plan is marked **Your plan**.

Fill in the **Billing e-mail address** when the receipts should go somewhere other than to you.

## Payments

The list of payments with their date, plan, amount and status:

| Status                                  | Means                                          |
| --------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| **Waiting for payment** | The payment link is open: **Pay** leads to it. |
| **Paid** | The period is extended. |
| **Failed**, **Cancelled**, **Refunded** | Nothing is extended. |

**Check again** asks the provider where a waiting payment stands, when the confirmation is slow.

## Falling behind

At the end of the period, a grace time (7 days by default) leaves room to pay. Past it, **sending is paused**: "Pay the plan below to start again. Nothing is lost in the meantime." The lists, subscribers, campaigns and statistics are untouched, and sending starts again as soon as the payment goes through.
