# Profile and security

> Your name, your password, two-factor authentication, passkeys, the theme and the language.

## Profile

**Settings → Profile**: your **name** (seen by the team) and your **e-mail address**, which is how you sign in. Changing the address asks you to verify it again; the link can be sent again from the same page.

### Deleting your account

**Delete account**, at the bottom of the profile, asks for your password. Deleting is final: you lose access to all your teams. The teams themselves and their data stay where they are.

  If you are the only owner of a team, name another owner first in
  **Settings → Team**: without an owner, nobody can manage its members or its
  billing any more.

## Security

**Settings → Security** (Lekalao asks for your password again before opening it).

### Changing the password

The current password, then the new one twice. Use a password manager and a long phrase.

### Two-factor authentication

**Two-factor authentication → Enable 2FA**, then scan the QR code with an authenticator app (1Password, Google Authenticator, Aegis…) and type the six-digit code to confirm.

  Keep the **recovery codes** somewhere outside Lekalao (**View recovery
  codes**). Each of them lets you in once if you lose your phone.
  **Regenerate codes** makes the old ones useless.

At every sign-in, Lekalao then asks for the app's code, or for a recovery code.

### Passkeys

A passkey signs you in without a password, with a fingerprint, a face or the device's own code (Touch ID, Windows Hello, a hardware key). **Add passkey**, give it a name ("MacBook Pro", "iPhone"), then confirm on the device. The list says when each one was added and last used; remove the one from a device you lost.

On the sign-in page, choose **Sign in with a passkey**.

## Appearance and language

**Settings → Appearance and language**:

* **Theme**: **Light**, **Dark** (the one Lekalao is drawn for) or **System** (follows your device). Also reachable from the <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> palette.
* The **language** of the interface and of the e-mails Lekalao sends you (invitations, summaries, alerts): English or French.

These settings are yours alone: they change nothing for the rest of the team, nor for your subscribers.
