# Team and roles

> Invite people, choose their role, work in several teams.

## The roles

| Role       | May                                                                                                                                                                     |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Everything, billing, members and the team's name included. |
| **Editor** | Write and send: lists, subscribers, campaigns, automations, transactional, templates, mailers, domains, tokens, webhooks, brand, privacy. Not billing, not the members. |
| **Viewer** | Read everything, change nothing. Right for a partner, an accountant, or a client who follows the results. |

A viewer sees every screen; the buttons that change something answer "Your role does not allow this."

## Invite a member

**Settings → Team → Invite a member** (owners only): name, e-mail address and role, then **Send the invitation**.

The person receives an e-mail, "Invitation to join …", with a **Choose my password** button. The link expires after a while (60 minutes by default); **Send access link** sends a new one.

If the address already has a Lekalao account (in another team), it is simply added to yours.

## Managing the members

The **Members** section lists each person with their role:

* change the **role** in the dropdown (not your own);
* **Remove** takes the person out of the team (not yourself). Their account is not deleted, and what they created stays with the team.

**Team name**: the name that appears in Lekalao and in the e-mails the team receives (summaries, alerts).

## Several teams

A team has its own lists, campaigns, mailers, domains, settings and billing; nothing is shared between teams.

* The **team switcher**, at the top of the sidebar, lists your teams and moves you between them.
* **New team** creates one that you own.

<Tip>
  An agency creates one team per client, and invites the client as a
  **Viewer** into it, so that they can follow their results without being
  able to break anything.
</Tip>

## A suspended team

On a commercial installation, a team may be suspended by the platform administrator (an unpaid bill, abuse). Everything stops, the API included, with the message "This team is suspended. Contact support."; nothing is deleted, and letting it work again puts everything back.
