# Statistics

> Reach, reception, revenue, the click map and the comparison of campaigns.

The **Statistics** tab of a campaign. While it sends, the figures are worked out again every minute; "Updated …" says how fresh they are.

## Reach

| Card             | Means                                                            |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sent** | E-mails handed to the provider, out of the number of recipients. |
| **Opens** | The unique open rate, and how many people. |
| **Clicks** | The unique click rate, and how many people. |
| **Unsubscribes** | How many, and their share of the e-mails sent. |

## Reception

| Card                | Means                                                                                  |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Delivered** | Confirmed by the provider (it needs the [feedback webhook](/deliverability/feedback)). |
| **Bounces** | Addresses that were refused. Hard bounces are blocked. |
| **Spam complaints** | People who reported the e-mail. They are blocked. |
| **Failed** | E-mails the provider did not accept; the outbox gives the reason. |

## Revenue

As soon as a sale is [reported](/developers/conversions) and credited to the campaign:

| Card           | Means                                                |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Revenue** | The total of the sales credited. |
| **Sales** | How many sales, and their share of the e-mails sent. |
| **Per e-mail** | What one e-mail earned, on average.                  |
| **Conversion** | Sales per hundred e-mails.                           |

A sale is credited to the **last e-mail the person actually opened or clicked** in the 14 days before it (you can change the window); a click beats an open.

## Activity

The chart of opens and clicks day by day, with a tooltip on hover. **Show the figures** unfolds the matching table.

## Click map

Every link of the e-mail, **in the order they appear**, with their label (or "Image or button"), their share of the clicks, and how many people and how many clicks. It is the most useful view for understanding what your readers actually care about.

## How it was read

For each reader, counted once:

* **Mail client**: Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook…
* **Device**: mobile, tablet, computer;
* **Country**: only when the installation has a geographic database ("No geographic database is installed." otherwise). See [Extending Lekalao](/self-hosting/extending#the-readers-countries).

<Note>
  IP addresses serve to find the country and are then forgotten; they are
  never stored.
</Note>

## The outbox

The **Outbox** tab: one row per recipient with the address, the status (**Waiting**, **Sent**, **Failed**, **Delivered**, **Bounced**, **Spam complaint**), the version they received, the opens, the clicks and the time it was sent. Filters: **All**, **Waiting**, **Sent**, **Failed**. An e-mail that failed shows the reason the provider gave.

## Comparing campaigns

**Campaigns → Compare** puts the **last thirty campaigns sent** against their own average: opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, with the gap in points for each campaign, green when it is in its favour and red when it is not. Filter by list to compare like with like.

## About opens

Opens are counted with a pixel. Some mailboxes (Apple Mail with privacy protection, corporate antivirus software) load images by themselves and inflate the figure; others block images and shrink it. Use the open rate to compare your own campaigns with each other, and clicks to measure real interest.
