The media library

The Images button of the editors (and the Image block of the visual editor) opens the team’s media library.
  • Upload an image: JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, 5 MB at most.
  • Click an image to insert it: in the visual editor it fills the block; in the HTML and Markdown editors an <img> tag is added at the end of the content.
  • The bin deletes an image. Careful: an e-mail already sent that shows it will show a broken image.

Light images

As soon as an image is uploaded, Lekalao prepares copies 600 and 1,200 pixels wide (smaller images are kept as they are); the editor inserts the copy meant for e-mail. An 8 MB photo taken on a phone therefore does not slow your readers down.
An installation can serve images from a CDN with nothing else to change: see LEKALAO_MEDIA_CDN_URL in the configuration.

Saved pieces

In the block editor, Saved pieces keeps a set of blocks for reuse: a footer with the address and the social links, a header with the logo, an “Our opening hours” insert.
1

Build the piece

Put the blocks together in an e-mail.
2

Save it

Save what is in the editor, and give it a name of its own (“Our footer”).
3

Insert it elsewhere

In any block e-mail, open Saved pieces and click Insert: the blocks are added at the end, ready to be moved.
The pieces used most often rise to the top. An inserted piece is a copy: changing it later does not change the e-mails it was already inserted into.
